Harcros Chemicals
After a routine inspection by the Fire Marshall left client Harcros Chemicals with a laundry list of updates required by the City of St. Paul, Harcros Chemicals decided to upgrade much of their facility along with the list from the city inspection. They called in the help of Diversified Construction to upgrade the facility and help coordinate the list from the Fire Marshall. Diversified Construction recommended Pope Architects to help design and provide the necessary documents for permitting, pricing and construction.
Construction consisted of removing the existing exterior dock wall and rebuilding it with new larger overhead doors and new dock levelers; providing a new 8” water main from Fairview for the new building sprinkler system; providing new egress stairs, doors, and emergency lighting; providing concrete ramps, curbs and spill containment devices as required by Fire Marshall; providing a new sprinkler room; replacement of other exterior overhead doors and interior roll-up fire doors; providing new make-up air and exhaust for Flammable Storage and Oxidizer Storage areas, and finally bringing in a new electrical service for the entire building.
