Moderna Kouzina took over the former Mozza Mia space at 50th & France in Edina. 50th & France is going through a development boom which created huge parking, staging and debris removal obstacles. Construction personnel had to park blocks away, materials could only be delivered during very specific times and probably the biggest challenge was that there was nowhere to place a dumpster. Every piece of waste from the project had to be hauled by pickup truck to a dumpster at another one of our sites a few miles away. Many custom elements were designed by the Owner and brought to life by Diversified Construction’s crew including a show-stopping custom chandelier over the bar area and a skeleton pergola anchoring the lounge space. The space evolved from an over-decorated and cluttered Italian vibe to a sophisticated and welcoming space to relax and enjoy fine foods and attention to detail throughout the experience.
